EDMONTON, Alberta -- This is going to sound very familiar.
Goals by Jonathan Cheechoo and Dan Boyle combined with key saves
by Evgeni Nabokov to pace the Sharks to a 2-1 victory over a
desperate hockey team from Alberta. That precise formula, which was
key to a Sharks victory Monday night over the Flames in Calgary,
repeated itself 172 miles to the north Thursday night against the
Oilers.
"I like that recipe," Boyle said after the victory that padded
San Jose's lead at the top of the NHL's Western Conference to six
points over the Detroit Red Wings with both teams having five left.
What makes it even more eerie is that both Cheechoo and Boyle
