City racer Wayne Grimshaw has roared into the lead in the South
West autotest championships.
Grimshaw, vice-chairman of the Plymouth Motor Club, won the
championships three years ago.
A third in class and poor results for his competitors at the
latest round at the Foxley Estate near Hereford left Grimshaw in
pole position for the championship.
Organisers set out four different sections for competitors to
drive during the day. Drivers have to follow a series of obstacles -
fast as they can - on a pre-determined course with the aid of a map.
Grimshaw, who was driving his in his Babcock Marine-Pure
Motorsport supported Vauxhall Nova, said he had an excellent day.
