Cindy Cottrell took a few mental notes when Bob Hochrein
delivered his Iowa State Bowling Hall of Fame speech three weeks
ago.
The 42-year-old right-hander will take her turn at the podium
this afternoon in Cedar Rapids. She will become the fourth Dubuque
native to gain induction into the Iowa Women's Bowling Association
Hall of Fame.
"Hooky really hit it on the head when he said bowling is really
all about the people you meet," Cottrell said. "It doesn't matter if
you average 220 or 150, what matters the most is the time you get to
spend with people.
