Article: Tulip Time replanted

For more than two decades, spring in Topeka has meant Tulip Time.

For 22 years, Jerold and Joan Binkley opened their private garden to the public to raise money for the Topeka Beautification Association. The event attracted thousands of visitors, some from several states away.

When the Binkleys decided to retire from hosting Tulip Time, the city and county decided to fill the gap on a larger scale, offering four locations in Topeka. The festival will run April 10 through 26.
