Lawns are turning green, trees are sprouting buds and fishermen
are watching water temperatures rise.
While some walleye anglers already are out on the Mississippi
River, many anglers are waiting for the water and air to warm up.
Now's the time to be sure fishing boats are ready to function
safely.
There are many things that boat owners can take care of, while
certain areas might better be left to professionals.
Clint Johnson, owner of C.R. Boats, Inc., in Dubuque, said many
boat owners can do much of the maintenance. However, he suggests
having a professional tune up the boat motor.
"The sink and link, or the timing of a motor, needs to be
