According to ANBA: Petrobras Biofuel intends to expand processing
capacity at the Darcy Ribeiro Biodiesel Plant, in the city of Montes
Claros, in the interior of the state of Minas Gerais, from its
current 57,000 cubic metres of biodiesel a year to 80,000 by 2013.
The expansion of installed capacity is going to take place
gradually, by means of optimisation and technical adjustments at the
unit. "Whenever a given unit undergoes changes, it presents some
variations. With these adjustments, we are going to increase
revenues and reduce operating costs," explained the president of
