Assemblyman Bill Emmerson, R-Redlands, is co-sponsoring the San
Bernardino County Operation Recognition Veterans Diploma Project.
The inaugural project is a "countywide effort to recognize men
and women whose high school education was interrupted due to
military service or internment in a Japanese American relocation
camp," according to a news release from Emmerson's office.
Veterans of World War II, the Korean War, or the Vietnam War and
Japanese American internees have the opportunity to receive a high
school diploma. Those interested in participating in the program
must submit an application by 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 17. Diplomas
