Free throws have been anything but free for the Milwaukee Bucks during their recent downward spiral that has seen their record plummet to 15 games below .500.

In fact, free throws have been hard to come by lately.

The Bucks (32-47) have lost nine of their last 10 games overall and five straight at home, and there are several reasons for that downturn.

Coach Scott Skiles thinks his team is not playing with the defensive intensity that it exhibited early in the season and has at times abandoned some basic defensive principles. The Bucks suffered through a shooting slump in March, and they haven't started third quarters well.
