Not much expected to change at Forest Drive branch
The Towson-based parent company of Annapolis Community Bank will
be bought by a firm that plans to inject the financial institution
with more than $35 million in capital.
AmericasBank Corp. announced last week the decision to sell to
Capital Funding Bancorp, a holding company formed by Baltimore
businessman Jack Dwyer early this year.
Under the deal, Capital Funding Bancorp will become the parent
company of AmericasBank and assume ownership of the bank's three
locations in Annapolis, Towson and Highlandtown.
Bank officials said they don't expect the deal to affect
operations at the Annapolis branch, which opened at 1419 Forest
Drive in 2007 ...
