Article: New CCTV cameras 'money well spent'

Cctv cameras installed in Crowle Market Place are hailed a success by Isle of Axholme residents and businesses.

Last year, two CCTV cameras were installed in Crowle, one in the market place and one on the High Street, in a pounds27,000 crime prevention plan.

Between April 2008 to March 2009 Humberside Police received 189 calls for service relating to anti-social behaviour at Crowle - an average of 15 calls per month.

But of these calls police say very few were to the Market Place.
