Kendal Brown, who led Harrison High School's boys' basketball
team to conference and sectional titles this season, was named a
second-team all-state selection by The Associated Press.
The 5-foot-10 point guard has signed with Southern Illinois
University, where he will play for coach and Harrison graduate Chris
Lowery, his cousin. Brown averaged 18.5 points, 5.4 assists and 3.2
steals this season for the Warriors. He set Harrison's career
assists record and finished third on the school's all-time scoring
list. He also set the single-season steals record with 72.
