OXFORD - Oxford Aviation President Jim Horowitz said this week
that plans to expand his airplane refurbishing business into
Brunswick and bring another 200-plus jobs to the area are proceeding
full-speed despite what some say is a downturn in the corporate jet
business.
"It's always been good to us," said Horowitz of his 21-year-old
business that has refurbished more than 4,000 private and corporate
jets and other aircraft. "Historically, it's proving the same in
this recession."
In January, more than 1,000 people turned out for an Oxford
Aviation job fair to apply for some 200 jobs that were expected to
open up this summer at the Brunswick Naval Air Station. Horowitz
plans to lease 177,000 ...
