In an effort to more strongly market itself as a "destination community," Willow Valley Retirement Communities has revamped its welcome center, giving the 7-year-old facility a major interior face- lift.

The new welcome center - still housed in a picturesque, two- story, stone farmhouse off Peach Bottom Road - features a small cafe, an interactive Discovery Room showcasing Lancaster County and regional attractions, and a new design wing.

When the welcome center opened in late 2001, it was partly focused on promoting Spring Run, then Willow Valley's newest phase, said Rosanne Pritts, manager of marketing and public relations for Willow Valley.
