Greenfield schools may start later

After Greenfield High School's start time was changed to one of the earliest in the metro Milwaukee area several years ago -- 7:10 a.m. -- administrators in the Greenfield School District are now asking the Board of Education to consider a later daily start time for the 2009-'10 school year.

At a board meeting Monday, members will take up a proposal from the district to alter the start and end times of the high school, middle school and elementary schools in Greenfield. Superintendent Conrad Farner did not detail the potential new school hours because he said the board should have a chance to discuss them first.
