CONCORD -- Magic, folktales and fantasy in faraway lands will
enchant visitors of all ages as local libraries celebrate reading.
As part of the countywide Contra Costa County Library Reading
Festival from May 3-9, the Clayton, Concord, Martinez and Pleasant
Hill libraries -- also known as the Central Region -- will host
events celebrating reading, libraries and community around the theme
of "Folktales and Fantasy," with a particular focus on all things
Harry Potter.
Each of the five regions in the county library system will have
events that correspond to a particular theme.
