The Army's largest infantry regiment accepted Exmouth's highest
possible tribute at the weekend.
Residents, councillors and veterans gathered in the town's Strand
Gardens to witness the ceremonial adoption of The Rifles by the
resort on Saturday.
Around 100 soldiers, many of whom have served in Iraq and
Afghanistan, marched to The Strand for the ceremony.
Town mayor Joy Whipps exchanged a scroll containing the adoption
