Council officials are distributing postcards across the city
urging people to make their views known on whether it should have a
unitary authority.
The postcards, which are being sent out by Exeter City Council,
carry the message Make Yourself Heard and Speak Up Before It's Too
Late.
More than 6,000 of them have been sent out across the region.
The cards are urging people to show support for two unitary
councils in Devon, one for the Greater Exeter and Exmouth area and
the other for rural Devon, by filling in an online petition.
In March, the Boundary Committee for England announced the latest
stage in its review of local government in Devon.
