SAN BERNARDINO - The nonprofit Time for Change Foundation held
its annual fundraiser on Thursday, a little more than three weeks
after its headquarters was burglarized on Easter Sunday.
The foundation's mission is challenging enough without the added
difficulty of having lost an estimated $15,000 in property. Time for
Change operates two homeless shelters for women and children. The
nonprofit's mission is to serve females trying to bounce back after
serving time behind bars.
At Thursday's "Spring Time Bloom" luncheon at the National Orange
Show Events Center, the group's founder alluded to the "Six Million
Dollar Man" while describing the foundation's attempts to rebuild
women's lives.
