What a difference a battleground makes.
Despite a focus on engaging young voters in last year's
presidential race and a national increase in youth voting rates,
participation in Wisconsin dropped for the 2008 presidential
election, according to U.S. Census Bureau data analyzed by the
Center for Information & Research on Civic Learning & Engagement.
Among Wisconsin voters from the ages of 18 to 29, turnout in the
race between President Barack Obama and Sen. John McCain of Arizona
