Article: West Hull boys' mugging terror

Two 12-year-old boys were left terrified after they were robbed by a group of older youngsters on a busy west Hull street.

Callum O'Connor and Dale Quance were talking to friends outside the former Kwik Save store in Willerby Road just after midday on Saturday when they were approached by the teenagers.

Callum was pushed in the chest, falling backwards off his mountain bike, and Dale was dragged off his BMX. Both bikes were then stolen.

The group also took Callum's mobile phone, which he had taken out of his pocket to call for help.

The teenagers then headed towards a nearby cycle track.
