Centuries from Marcus Trescothick, Craig Kieswetter and Justin
Langer took Somerset to safety as their LV County Championship
Division One match with Durham ended in a draw.
Trescothick, unbeaten on 90 overnight, made 105 but it was the
fifth-wicket stand of 197 between Kieswetter (106) and Langer (122
not out) which did most to frustrate the visitors on a typically
flat last-day Taunton pitch.
James Hildreth hit 71, but Somerset looked in trouble at 242 for
four before lunch, still 232 runs from avoiding an innings defeat.
Durham's bowlers battled in vain to close out the game and had to be
content with 12 points from the game to the home side's six.
