Plymouth Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress Brian Vincent and Pauline
Murphy were the special guests at an open day at a city community
allotment.
They enjoyed a barbecue, refreshments and a tour of the site at
Embankment Road.
The couple also unveiled a plaque commissioned by the local
community as a thank-you to local councillors for their support.
The day was to celebrate the creation of a new walkway and
wheelbarrow run at the East End Community Allotment, which should
make life safer for children from Prince Rock Primary School and the
Nomony Children's Centre, which have growing plots there.
