The number of women choosing to breastfeed in the city is small,
but with limited facilities available it's not surprising women are
bottling out. As National Breastfeeding Awareness Week begins, first
time mum Claire Daniel-Jones heads to Hanley with reporter Liz
Rowley to see how easy it is to feed your baby
Mums are told that breast is best but the benefits are often
outweighed by thoughts of failure and embarrassment for first time
mums.
Add to that a lack of knowledge and breastfeeding facilities, and
it's enough to put off new parents before they start.
National Breastfeeding Awareness Week hopes to help mothers make
the choice by providing information and advice, while local ...
