I'd like to urge readers who watched the London Marathon on TV
and thought "I want to be there next year" to register as soon as
possible and run for Cancer Research UK.
I loved taking part in this year's London Marathon. I felt an
amazing sense of personal achievement and pride when I crossed the
finish line in three hours, 20 minutes and 10 seconds, and knowing
I was supporting Cancer Research UK made it even more worthwhile.
Cancer Research UK is very close to my heart. A few years ago my
dad Ted was diagnosed with a form of cancer known as non-Hodgkin's
lymphoma. Thankfully, he's now in remission.
More than one in three people in the UK will get cancer at some
point in their lives ...
