Table tennis world championships raises A (H1N1) flu alert

YOKOHAMA, Japan, May 1 (Xinhua) -- World table tennis championships organizers raised flu alert on Friday after a possible case of A (H1N1) flu was found in Yokohama.

A 17-year-old high school boy has tested positive for what would be Japan's first case of A (H1N1) flu, previously called Swine flu.

The Yokohama teenager visited Canada last month, where 31 cases of the strain of influenza have been confirmed, and received a medical checkup on Thursday. The Japanese government released an update on its anti-flu policy that calls for restricting meetings and sports events.
