Longtime Sunnyside resident Maynard Everett Huenefeld, 95, went
to be home with the Lord he loved so much on April 29, 2009 in Sun
City, Arizona.
Maynard Huenefeld was born on May 25, 1913 to Otto and Nellie
Huenefeld on a farm called 'The Golden Hoof Farm' 8 miles from
Aurora, Nebraska. He attended a Prairie Gem country school in School
District #66 along with his two younger sisters, Phyllis and Arnola.
From country and High School, he went to Southwestern Bible College
in Enid, Oklahoma and then to Central Bible College in Springfield,
Missouri where he graduated.
Prior to entering the U.S. Army, Maynard E. Huenefeld was a sales
clerk for Safeway ...
