Article: Shot-Glass Prom Gifts A 'Poor Choice'

Last weekend's Warwick High School prom certainly turned out to be memorable, but not in the way school officials ever would have wanted.

The decision by prom organizers to order more than 450 souvenir shot glasses, which were then given to students as mementos, has put the district in hot water once again.

The story first aired on WGAL-TV Friday and was picked up by The Associated Press on Saturday. The AP even included the item on its national budget.

A Warwick High School junior who attended the prom, held May 2 at Willow Valley, said, "People were joking around about it" when the shot glasses were distributed.
