Rostraver Township Girls Softball League players no longer have
to run for cover when it rains at Fellsburg Field.
"Dugouts were desperately needed for that field and Fellsburg
went from a mediocre field to an excellent field," said league
president Chris Tedrow. "This is a major improvement for the field
and community."
Belle Vernon Area High School junior Anna Herold developed the
project as part of earning a Girl Scouts Gold Award, which she will
receive this summer or fall.
"Anna made it all happen," Tedrow said. "She did all the work
coordinating the project and obtaining the materials. Kids in the
dugouts now have privacy from the road and protection from the
