Indonesian Democratic Party gets 26 pct of parliamentary seats

JAKARTA, May 10 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's Democratic Party seals its victory in April 9 legislative elections by collecting 148 seats at the parliament, or 26.43 percent of the total seats, according to the General Elections Commission (KPU).

KPU completed the allocation of seats at the House of Representatives to political parties early Sunday morning, Antara news agency reported.

Based on the KPU's allocation, only nine political parties managed to pass the minimum 2.5 percent parliamentary threshold, and therefore, could send their representatives to the House.
