The British Soap Awards ITV1
I'M not quite sure how EastEnders scooped the top honour at the
British Soap Awards. Most people would rather admit to hosting a
swinging party than watching it.
It's well known that at least 50 per cent of its audience have
lost the remote control and are too lazy to get up to switch
stations manually.
And yet here it is again, Best Soap, with a lifetime achievement
award chucked in for Barbara Windsor. Now I've nothing against
Barbara Windsor. That bit where her bra pings off in Carry On
Camping is a treasured memory, forming 99 per cent of my sex
education, and prompting a recent subscription to the Camping And
