The city's housing market is finally picking up with the number
of sales more than doubling in the last six months, estate agents
have revealed.
One agent said they had agreed sales on 10 properties last week
alone - compared to just one or two a month at the end of last year.
And another reported an 85 per cent rise in monthly turnover of
homes, with two or three buyers competing for the same property in
some cases.
The housing market reached its lowest point at the end of last
year when property prices plummeted almost overnight.
Connells, based in South Street, Exeter, said at the time it was
