POINT GUARD
Chauncey Billups vs. Derek Fisher: Billups already has outplayed
New Orleans' Chris Paul and Dallas' Jason Kidd in the first two
rounds of the playoffs. So it's doubtful the Denver star will be
worried about going up against Lakers veteran Fisher, who has looked
a step slow during the post-season. Fisher has averaged 7.2 points
and 2.0 assists while shooting less than 20% (that's right) from
three-point range, sinking just 6 of 31 attempts. Billups has been
on fire from three-point territory (33 of 61, 54.1%) while piling up
73 assists to just 17 turnovers. The Nuggets' decision to deal Allen
Iverson to Detroit for Billups early in the season was simply
brilliant.
Edge: Nuggets.
