More than 20 Westcountry farms have signed up to take part in
Open Farm Sunday on June 7.
Organised by LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming) it aims to
offer a day out for the whole family, with hundreds of farms across
England and Wales offering a range of activities and demonstrations,
from tractor and trailer rides and sheep shearing, to nature trails,
pond dipping and milking. The idea is to give urban visitors an
insight into the work farmers do to produce food and look after the
countryside.
The Westcountry farms involved are: Beech Hayes Farm,
Churchinford, near Taunton; Blacklberry Farm, Milton Damerel, near
Holsworthy; Blackmore Farm, Cannington, near Bridgwater; Broad
