Article: SALE BRINGS NEW ROLE FOR OLD OWNER

Alan Holeman figures he has an adjustment to make.

After being the boss for many years, he will now work part-time as an outside sales representative for M&M Pump & Supply, Inc., an oil and gas field products and equipment supplier, in Henderson, Ky.

M&M, based in Clay City, Ill., has purchased Holeman's Alan Supply, which Holeman co-owned with his wife, Barbara, at U.S. 664 and U.S. 41 Alternate.

The business' name is being changed to M&M.

Alan Holeman said he decided to sell the business because of his age and his interest in becoming semi-retired.

"I'm OK with it," he said. "It'll just be different."

The sale price was not disclosed.

The Holemans, both 74, founded Alan Supply in 1991.
