Article: Wake up with the Insomniacs

After playing late tonight at Uncle Bo's, the Insomniacs, if they live up to their names, won't need a wake-up call to get ready Saturday afternoon for a blues workshop and youth jam session at the club.

The Insomniacs will perform at 8:30 p.m. today in the nightspot on the lower level of the Ramada Hotel and Convention Center, 420 S.E. 6th, and then return from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday to lead a blues workshop and jam with local musicians who must be 21 or younger to participate.

The jam session will be a fundraiser for the Topeka Blues Society and a way for it to engender an appreciation for the blues in a new generation of musicians.
