Thailand on alert for probable expansion of A/H1N1 virus outbreak

BANGKOK, May 20 (Xinhua) -- Thailand has alerted and prepared to deal with the potential expansion of the A/H1N1 virus outbreak in the country, a senior official at the Thai Public Health Ministry said Wednesday.

The fact that the world population does not have antibody against the deadly new virus, hence it will be possible everybody, including Thais, will contract with the AH1N1 virus, said Dr. Paijit Warajit, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Health at the Public Health Ministry.
