NEW YORK - Apple Inc. was sued by French jeweler Cartier, a unit
of Compagnie Financiere Richemont SA, over allegations that one of
the electronics maker's iPhone applications violates a trademark for
its Tank line of watches.
The iPhone program Fake Watch, which displays the time of day on
hand-set screens using the appearance of "look-alike famous
wristwatches," infringes Cartier's trademark by copying its 92-year-
