DAYTON -- The Montgomery County Economic Development/Government
Equity Advisory Committee on Friday, May 15, recommended funding
seven projects with $1.2 million from the county's 2009 Primary
Economic Development Fund of ED/GE.
The funding recommendations will be considered by county
commissioners at a meeting on May 19. Projects recommended:
- City of Vandalia -- Project Centerline -- $350,000 now;
$350,000 in 2010. Stonequarry Crossings, a 200-acre mixed use
development in Vandalia is being considered for a 1.3 millionsquare-
foot distribution center that would employee 700 people, with a
total payroll of $20 million. Officials have not identified the
company.
