Woman killed, teen injured in shooting

A 37-year-old woman was killed and a 17-year-old boy was injured in a shooting on Milwaukee's west side Monday night, according to Milwaukee police.

The shooting, which occurred shortly after 7 p.m. in the 3400 block of N. 58th St., may have been sparked by a child-custody dispute, according to a statement from police.

A 35-year-old man identified by witnesses as the shooter was arrested, the statement says.

The woman was taken to Froedtert Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.
