It may surprise your readers to hear that I have a certain
sympathy with MPs who, from reports in the Daily Telegraph, spend a
lot of time shopping and changing houses and flats in order to make
money and improve their personal status. The problem is that they
haven't enough to do.
They were elected to govern our country, but most of our laws, 80
per cent, come from unelected commissioners in Brussels and
Strasbourg.
