Puff pastry is similar to phyllo dough in that it is made up of
layers of dough, but the two are not interchangeable.
Rich puff pastry is built by layering butter and pastry dough,
rolling it out, letting it rest, and then repeating the process
again and again, until dozens of layers are formed.
The pastry "puffs" as it bakes, resulting in a light and delicate
crunchiness.
