Article: Mahlum Architects receives award for its design of Providence's clinic in North Portland

Providence Medical Group's North Portland Clinic at 4920 N. Interstate Ave. recently won a top design award from the American Institute of Architects Academy of Architecture for Health.

The clinic, designed by Mahlum Architects, was the only winner in the category for structures built for less than $25 million. There were two winners in the over $25 million category.

An existing brownfield site, where a gas station was built in 1960, was restored and revitalized as part of the project to construct the North Portland clinic. Light-rail, bus and bicycle transit opportunities are adjacent to the facility.
