HESPERIA
One toddler dies, one lives in pool accidents
One toddler is dead and a 2-year-old boy is in the hospital
following two separate drownings.
San Bernardino County firefighters responded to the first call at
4:04 p.m. to a residence in the 17100 block of Danbury Avenue.
When they arrived they found a 1-year-old boy who had fallen into
a pool, said fire spokeswoman .
The boy's grandmother found him in the pool. Neighbors arrived to
help perform CPR until firefighters got on scene.
The boy was taken to Desert Valley Medical Center in Victorville,
where he was later declared dead. The exact time of death was not
immediately available.
The second drowning occurred around 6:21 p.m. ...
