Bangladesh to impose higher duties on import of luxury items,
cigarettes
DHAKA, May 26 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh's Finance Minister AMA
Muhith Tuesday said the rate of import duties of luxury items
including cars and cigarettes will be increased in national budget
for next fiscal year beginning in July this year.
After a meeting with leaders of Bangladesh Reconditioned Vehicle
Importers and Dealers Association, Muhith told reporters on Tuesday
said, "Import duties and taxes on luxury items and products
injurious to health will be increased in the next budget. "
