It has been said that Patti Page created memories as well as
hits, so maybe you remember listening to "How Much is that Doggie in
the Window" on your record player as kid, or you recall watching
your parents dance to "Tennessee Waltz."
Patti Page is one of the best-known female artists in traditional
pop music. She has been called the Singing Rage, the first crossover
country artist, a Grammy Award winner and a national phenomenon.
But, to Tim Akers, creative director at the Columbian Theatre in
Wamego, she is known simply as Aunt Patti.
Akers is the great-nephew of Clara Ann Fowler, aka Patti Page,
and his private collection of Patti Page memorabilia will soon be
