Russia, South Korea vow to participate in working out new UN
resolution on DPRK
MOSCOW, May 27 (Xinhua) -- Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and
his South Korean counterpart Lee Myung-bak pledged to participate in
mapping out a new UN Security Council resolution on the Democratic
People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the Kremlin press service said on
Wednesday.
The leaders, during phone talks, exchanged views on the evolving
situation after the DPRK's nuclear test and other moves of Pyongyang
that led to the escalation of tensions in northeastern Asia, the
Kremlin said.
Medvedev said "the nuclear test is a direct violation of the UN
Security Council Resolution 1718 and contradicts ...
