Farms across the Westcountry will throw open their gates to the
public to make rural life more accessible to all.
Activities such as tractor rides, sheep shearing and nature
trails will be under way across the UK as part of Open Farm Sunday
on June 7.
The event, organised by Linking Environment and Farming (LEAF),
gives an insight into the work of farmers and how food is produced.
Some locations will offer visitors the chance to try their hand
at farm work, such as building a dry stone wall or milking a cow.
Among those taking part is Andy Bragg, who farms West Town Farm
at Ide, near Exeter.
