Robert J. McKenry, 84, passed away Friday, May 29, 2009 at
Memorial Hospital in York. He was the husband of the late Beulah R.
(Hobba) McKenry and was the companion of Nancy C. Benson.
Born November 23, 1924 in Windber, PA, a son of the late John
McKenry and the late Alma (Miller) McKenry Braun, he was a retired
engineer from Kennametal in Bedford, PA after more than 25 years of
service. Mr. McKenry was a member of Christ U.M. in Lancaster,
Windber Volunteer Fire Co., American Legion, and VFW; and held Free
and Accepted Masonic memberships at Lamberton Lodge 476 in
Lancaster, and in Windber. He also enjoyed fishing and was a US Army
Veteran of WWII where he served in the Philippines and ...
