Werrington skipper Ben Smeeth knows that his players were
severely tested after they scraped home by one wicket off the last
ball at Falmouth.
The pace-setters in the Jolly's Drinks ECB Cornwall Premier
League found themselves 50 for five at one stage in pursuit of 224
to win before closing to within touching distance, with six runs
needed off the last over.
Tail-ender Ian Worsnip scrambled two off the last delivery for
the 19-point victory that increased their lead to 14 points over
second-placed St Just.
