Great thanks to firefighters

On Monday, May 25, our county experienced the unfortunate tragedy of the Wayne County Care Center barn burning to the ground. We are writing to express our deep gratitude to the many individuals who aided the county throughout this misfortune.

The tremendous cooperation and quick response with our various county fire departments cannot be measured. Their response ensured the Secrest Village Apartment Building (the original county home building) was not harmed by this fire.

Wooster Township Fire Chief Mark Del Propost handled this situation with both equanimity and professionalism. Most importantly, no persons or animals were harmed.
